Believing is one thing, trust is another
To believe you now I cannot do
The past repeats itself
Even after all that we’ve been through
It's hard to have confidence in your truth
Rough times have past where we battled and lied
Pain with one breath, with each tear we shed
Our hearts shatter inside
After each troublesome, restless night
Awaken, contemplating about our lives
In you, I must say, my trust is held strongly
Leading me right without doing wrong
Faithful, you’ve always been
The end was to last longer than this
Forever was the length, or so we promised
Held on tightly in your grasp, I suffocate
Reserving all I have to yourself
Not conceited, but there.
Unsuccessful your moves do play out
Your embrace is an attempt to control me
Wide eyes do perceive passion ceases to exist
Yet bound so close together we are
Each bird has flown away
No music sings from atop this tree
Existence doesn’t bide on these branches bare
